Wesley Watkins Scholarship
The Wesley Watkins Scholarship is awarded annually to as many as four BONENT members in good standing: two international and two U.S. members. Competition is based on a winning essay written by the applicants. The topic is determined by the BONENT Board of Directors.

The 2007-08 topic is Managing the Difficult Dialysis Patient.

Criteria for Selection

  1. The individual must be currently employed in the field of nephrology.
  2. The applicant must be BONENT-certified for at least one year.
  3. Two letters of recommendation from nephrology professionals must be included with the application.
  4. The applicant is required to submit a one-page essay on the current topic, as advertised in Update, the BONENT quarterly newsletter, or published on the organization’s website. “Managing the Difficult Dialysis Patient” is the 2007-08 essay topic.

Send application, essay (hard copy & on a CD) and letters of recommendation to BONENT Executive Office,1901 Pennsylvania Ave, NW, Suite 607, Washington, DC 20006. All documents must be postmarked by midnight, September 30, 2008 in order to be considered.
