![]() Who Was Wesley Watkins? ![]() Wesley Watkins The BONENT scholarships are named in honor of Wesley Watkins. He was a dialysis technician who served on the BONENT Board of Directors for over ten years and Secretary/Treasurer. He chaired the Finance Committee and was actively involved in legislative issues relating to dialysis technicians in the south. He passed away in 2002. The Wesley Watkins Scholarship has been awarded annually to as many as four BONENT members in good standing: two international and two U.S. members. Competition was based on a winning essay written by the applicants. NOTE: The program is in the process of being changed. Read the winning submissions below.
