BONENT 2013 Southeast Regional Seminar

Sunday, February 17, 2013

For those dialysis professionals who were fortunate enough to be in Orlando on February 17, they were part of an excellent educational offering. This was the second BONENT Regional Education Seminar in a series of many more seminars in the future. BONENT members and non-members attended from 12 different states and Jamaica.

Here are some attendee comments:
"Best seminar ever!"
"I'm so glad I didn't miss this even though I had to come all the way from Wisconsin."
"So relevant to my daily career as a PCT."
"I need more CEs, so I'll also come the seminar in Cleveland."

Thank You to the Committee

The BONENT Continuing Education Programs Committee pulled off another great meeting. Peter Anas, BONENT Executive Director, was heard to say that "this went so smoothly." RJ Picciano, BONENT President said, "I want to congratulate the Committee for this meeting and thank them for all their hard work." The members of the Committee she refers to are John Larsen, Doreen Charles, Connie Mears, Karie Records and Sonia Wynne.

Good Speakers & Valuable Topics

The day was full of interesting and enthusiastic speakers with great topics. The hotel was great (it had a large mall attached)! Topics included new innovations in dialysis such as Citrate Dialysis and the HeRO Graft. Other topics on how to make our jobs more successful and rewarding including "Dealing with the Difficult Patient", "Burnout" and "Managing the Vascular Access: a Surgeons Prospective".

We would also like to thank the staff of Network 7, The Florida Network, for their assistance including a presentation on "Meeting the Challenge for Compliance with the New Medicare Conditions for Coverage" It made us all realize that we were in a "Brave New World" and were going to have step up our practice.

See speaker photos below along with a description of their presentations.
